Una tote bag da collezione nata dalla collaborazione tra Stussy e il celebre fashion illustrator giapponese Hiroshi Tanabe, nell’ambito della capsule Spring/Summer 2012. Un incontro tra street culture californiana e illustrazione d’autore che ha prodotto uno dei pezzi più ricercati dell’archivio Stussy. Realizzata in canvas di cotone naturale, la borsa presenta due grafiche distinte: sul fronte due piume — una dorata e una verde/teal — convergono verso un timbro circolare rosso con la firma della collaborazione “Hiroshi Tanabe x Stüssy”; sul retro un’elegante illustrazione di profilo femminile con un cilindro nero decorato da pin iconici Stussy — tra cui la Statua della Libertà, la stella Hollywood e il logo London Underground — e una piuma verde che fuoriesce dal cappello, con i capelli al vento. Il nome “Top Hat” si riferisce proprio a questa illustrazione.

A collectible tote bag born from the collaboration between Stussy and renowned Japanese fashion illustrator Hiroshi Tanabe as part of the Spring/Summer 2012 capsule collection. This meeting of Californian street culture and artistic illustration produced one of the most sought-after pieces in the Stüssy archive. Crafted from natural cotton canvas, the bag features two distinct graphics: on the front, two feathers—one gold and one green/teal—converge toward a red circular stamp bearing the collaboration signature “Hiroshi Tanabe x Stüssy”; on the back, an elegant illustration depicts a woman in profile wearing a black top hat adorned with iconic Stüssy pins—including the Statue of Liberty, the Hollywood star, and the London Underground logo—with a green feather emerging from the hat and her hair blowing in the wind. The name “Top Hat” refers to this specific illustration.
