Smooth History
La storia di Smooth inizia nel 1984, precisamente il 23 Luglio del 1984. Il negozio non esiste ancora: c’è solo la strada, uno street-market e tanta poesia. Nel Settembre del 1989, Fausto inaugura Hip Hop Shop: il suo primo negozio. Un punto vendita nuovo e diverso nel panorama dello shopping perugino di fine anni ’80. Hip Hop Shop propone infatti marchi e prodotti d’importazione esclusivi, conosciuti ai tempi solo negli USA. Marchi come Stussy, Freshjive, Carhartt, Kangol, aziende di culto nel circuito streetwear e clubbing americano, che hanno fatto la storia della breakdance, dello street-writing e dello skating californiano. Fausto continua nella sua incessante ricerca, ampliando progressivamente l’offerta. Il suo punto vendita mobile gira ancora per i mercati d’Italia ma progressivamente si trasforma in un spazio fisso all’interno di un negozio sportivo nel quartiere perugino di Ponte San Giovanni: un corner che regalerà soddisfazioni a tanti giovani clienti. Nel Maggio del 1999 nasce Smooth: un nome che mira a raccogliere e ridefinire l’esperienza di tanti anni sul campo: non soltanto un negozio di abbigliamento street, ma una vera e propria missione. Un insieme di passioni che dipendono l’una dall’altra: lo stile, la musica, la strada e l’abbigliamento di qualità. Oggi Smooth ha quattro punti vendita a Perugia: lo storico negozio di Via Settevalli, i due negozi in pieno centro storico di Smooth Via Oberdan e Smooth Kicks Via Baglioni – quest’ultimo specializzato in sneakers – e l’ultimo nato, Smooth Outlet al centro di Bastia Umbra, in piazza Cavour n.6. Oltre agli stores fisici Smooth dispone anche di un proprio shop online, dove trovare dei veri e propri pezzi da collezione. Infatti, nelle sezioni online “Toys“ ed “Heritage“, si possono acquistare delle vere e proprie rarità Be@rbrick e Kubrik in serie limitata, oltre che abbigliamento vintage di Stussy, Carhartt e Freshjive: tutti articoli nuovi in serie limitata. The story of Smooth began in 1984, precisely on July 23, 1984. The shop does not exist yet: there is only the street, a street-market and so much poetry. In September 1989, Fausto inaugurated Hip Hop Shop: his first store. A new and different store in the Perugia shopping scene of the late 80’s. Hip Hop Shop offers exclusive brands and import products, only known in the USA. Brands such as Stussy, Freshjive, Carhartt, Kangol, streetwear companies who have made the breakthrough, street-writing, clubbing and California skating history. Fausto continues in his unceasing search, progressively expanding the offer. His mobile sales point is still turning to the markets of Italy but progressively becomes a fixed space within a sports shop in the Perugia district of Ponte San Giovanni: a corner that will give satisfaction to many young customers. In May 1999, Smooth was born: a name that aims to collect and redefine the experience of so many years in the field: not just a street clothing store, but a real mission. A set of passions that depend on each other: style, music, street and quality clothing. Today Smooth has four stores in Perugia: the historic Via Settevalli store, the two shops in the historic center of Smooth Via Oberdan and Smooth Kicks Via Baglioni – the latter specialized in sneakers – and the latest born, Smooth Outlet in the centre of Bastia Umbra, Piazza Cavour n.6. In addition to the Smooth physical stores, the online shop is available where you can find real collection pieces.
