Vans Sk8-Hi E’ iniziato nel 1978, quando Paul Van Doren voleva cambiare un modello iconico #36, oggi conosciuto come Vans Old Skool. Lo scopo era di creare una scarpa alta che andava bene a tutti skater in circolazione e che offriva un nuovo stile. Ha raggiunto questo obiettivo, e grazie a lui nasce il modello #38 oggi noto come Vans Sk8-Hi.
