The American brand Carhartt WIP returns to the scene proposing a new capsule collection inspired by the legendary African musician Fela Kuti, who has strongly influenced this project through his artistic and cultural heritage. During his 58 years, Kuti developed and enriched the afrobeat genre, mixing milestones of West African music with bits of funk and American jazz, thus creating an elaborate and interesting fusion of the two genres. This capsule is the largest and most important musical collaboration of Carhartt WIP to date; in fact it presents a complete range of shirts and accessories directly inspired by Kuti’s music and the vibrant culture of his native country: the Nigeria.
