T-shirt nata dalla collaborazione tra Stussy e Todd James nel 2009. Todd James è un artista conosciuto a livello internazionale che sin dall’adolescenza disegna graffiti.

Attraverso il suo lavoro sui treni della metropolitana di NYC col nome di REAS, ha imparato le pratiche del buon design in età precoce.

Le opere commerciali di James includono loghi per clienti come The Beastie Boys, The Source, Eminem, Mobb Deep e Redman. Questi loghi rimangono alcune delle icone più importanti della musica rap.

Come il designer di Puppet e uno scenografo di Crank Yankers della hit comedy Central, la singolare sensibilità estetica di James è stata introdotta a un pubblico televisivo con grande successo.

I lavoro di James è stato esposto alla Biennale di Venezia del 2000, all’Istituto di Arte Contemporanea di Filadelfia, al Museo Tate di Liverpool, ai Dietch Projects di NYC e al tour dei musei Beautiful Losers.

Più di recente, James ha realizzato dipinti per il suo secondo spettacolo a Copenaghen alla galleria V1 e lavora su nuovi progetti per Adult Swim.

James attualmente risiede a New York, che è anche la sede della sua società, la REAS International.

La collezione “Wayback Throwback” di Stussy x REAS è costituita da abbigliamento, accessori e giocattoli Medicom caratterizzati da uno stile graffito colorato di James.

T-shirt born from the collaboration between Stussy and Todd James in 2009. Todd James is an internationally known artist who has been drawing graffiti since adolescence.

Through his work on NYC subway trains under the name of REAS, he learned the practices of good design at an early age.

James’s commercial works include logos for clients such as The Beastie Boys, The Source, Eminem, Mobb Deep, and Redman. These logos remain some of the most important icons of rap music.

As the designer of Puppet and a production designer of Crank Yankers of hit comedy Central, James’s singular aesthetic sensibility has been introduced to a television audience with great success.

James’s work has been exhibited at the 2000 Venice Biennale, the Philadelphia Institute of Contemporary Art, the Tate Museum in Liverpool, the Dietch Projects in NYC and the Beautiful Losers museum tour.

More recently, James made paintings for his second show in Copenhagen at gallery V1 and is working on new projects for Adult Swim.

James currently resides in New York, which is also the headquarters of his company, REAS International.

The Stussy x REAS “Wayback Throwback” collection consists of Medicom clothing, accessories and toys featuring James’s colorful graffiti style.
