Rarissima T-shirt Supreme New York realizzata nel 2001. Una tee che fa parte delle prime serie di Supreme, quando cercava foto o immagini di ispirazione e le stampava sulle magliette.
Questa “Supreme Skull Tee” si ispira ad alcune copertine di una serie di 25 album denominata “Ultimate Breaks And Beats”, usciti dal 1986 al 1991 su Street Beat Records. Gli album perlopiù composti da drum beats di brani tra il 1966 al 1984.

It’s always nice to see older graphic tees from time to time and to see how Supreme New York began to make their transition from the stuff they made when they opened in 1994 to the graphics they were putting on shirts a few years later after they began to be very established. As Supreme often does, taking designs they’ve seen and putting them onto tees or pullovers is something they do and is considered the norm at this point – which brings me to the design on this tee. The graphic seen above with the skull donning a chain is featured on multiple occasions on the covers of “Ultimate Breaks And Beats”, a series of 25 compilation albums that were released from 1986 to 1991 by Street Beat Records. The albums were mostly compiled of tracks from 1966 to 1984 that included drum breaks. Rereleases of these albums can be found online and can also be often found in record stores, mostly as a multi-disc collection that contains all of the tracks from every release of the “Ultimate Breaks…” series.
