J Dilla Figure by Pay Jay – Stussy Toy 1st edition

Il toy J Dilla è stato concepito e creato dall’artista Detroit Sintex. È stato prodotto da Blitzway per conto di Pay Jay. È una versione collaborativa con Stussy, il cui logo è ufficialmente autorizzato.

La figura è alta circa 19 cm. Il cappello, il campionatore e la catena della figura sono rimovibili e le braccia della si articolano. Fu creata  per celebrare il 41° compleanno del rapper e produttore. Scolpita dall’artista P2PL di Seoul, presenta un cappello rimovibile, campionatore e catena con ciambella.

Prodotto in sole 5.000 unità di cui 2.000 esaurite nel pre-ordine.

Pay Jay Productions è stata fondata da J Dilla (James Yancey). La tenuta di James Yancey è amministrata dall’avvocato Alex Borden e sorvegliata dalla Corte Probata dello Stato della California per conto di quattro eredi di Yancey – sua madre, Maureen “Madukes” Yancey, suo fratello John “Illa J” Yancey e le sue due figlie , Ja’Mya Yancey e Ty-monae Whitlow.

Insieme all’uscita della figura fu prodotta anche una t-shirt in serie limitata denominata J Dilla Collage T-shirt.

 

The J Dilla toy was conceived and created by the Detroit artist Sintex. It was produced by Blitzway on behalf of Pay Jay. It is a collaborative version with Stussy, whose logo is officially authorized.

The figure is approximately 19 cm tall. The figure’s hat, sampler and chain are removable and the arms of the figure articulate. It was created to celebrate the 41st birthday of the rapper and producer.

Sculpted by Seoul-based P2PL artist, it features a detachable hat, sampler and donut chain. Produced in only 5,000 units of which 2,000 sold out  for pre-order.

Pay Jay Productions was founded by J Dilla (James Yancey). James Yancey’s estate is administered by attorney Alex Borden and overseen by the California State Probate Court on behalf of Yancey’s four heirs – his mother, Maureen “Madukes” Yancey, his brother John “Illa J” Yancey and his two daughters, Ja’Mya Yancey and Ty-monae Whitlow.

Along with the release of the figure, a limited edition t-shirt called J Dilla Collage T-shirt was also produced.
