David Mancuso, noto anche come Dave Mancuso (Utica, 20 ottobre 1944 – Manhattan, 14 novembre 2016), è stato un disc jockey statunitense. È considerato uno dei pionieri della disco music, tra i primi deejay della storia e precursore della “cultura underground”.

Mancuso fu l’ideatore e creatore del “The Loft” di New York: un loft trasformato nel primo vero club di culto, che segnò l’epoca della disco music degli albori.

With this Tee Stussy and Slam Jam wanted to pay homage to the famous DJ David Mancuso.

David Mancuso, also known as Dave Mancuso (Utica, 20 October 1944 – Manhattan, 14 November 2016), was an American disc jockey. He is considered one of the pioneers of disco music, one of the first deejays in history and precursor of “underground culture”.

Mancuso was the creator and creator of “The Loft” in New York: a loft transformed into the first true cult club, which marked the era of the first disco music.
