Medicom Toy Kaws Dissected Companion Gray Bearbrick 1000% 2010
Rarissimo Be@rbrick nato dalla collaborazione tra il marchio Original Fake di KAWS ed il produttore di giocattoli da collezione Medicom Toy. Questo modello sezionato è realizzato in vinile cast e presenta la firma dell’artista, la famosa “X” sugli occhi e sul dorso delle mani. Ovviamente come tutti i Bearbrick 1000% possiede braccia, gambe, mani e testa mobili.
L’oggetto va ben oltre il concetto di giocattolo, è a tutti gli effetti un’opera d’arte prodotta in soli 500 esemplari dall’ormai famosissimo artista Kaws. Presenta qualche piccolo difetto sulla superficie, ben visibile nelle fotografie, dovuto all’esposizione in fiera.
A collaboration between KAWS‘ OriginalFake brand and toy manufacturer, Medicom Toy, this dissected Be@rbrick model is made from cast vinyl and features the artist’s signature “X” for each eye as well as moveable arms, legs, hands, and head.
Obviously, like all 1000% Bearbricks, it has arms, legs, hands and moving heads, and the object goes far beyond the concept of a toy, it is in effect a work of art produced in just 500 copies by the now famous artist Kaws.
It has some small defects on the surface, clearly visible in the photographs, due to the exhibition at the fair.
